My name is Jack. I like our hut. I also like video games. My father is fun and funny. He can cook real good food You should try his bacon, it's real delicious. It is sweet, tender and tasty. When I was 5 years old I enjoyed my Dad's bacon and I started to choke. Dad saved me.
My goal for this year is to be a fast writer because I don't want to fall behind.
HOBO STOVES
Last week room 3 cooked pikelets on hobo stoves. First of all we lit fires under the stoves theN we poured mixture on the top and then we cooked them.

Fantails
Live in the bush and on the lowlands. Only live for a short time about three years. They eat insects while flying in the air often scuffed up by walkers. Can flit around by using its wings and it tail. Maori name is piwakawaka.

BOOK WEEK
We have book week to have fun with reading.
During the week we read a lot. Every day we did Drop Everything and Read. (DEAR)People came in and read to us. One story was a funny one about a duck.
On Friday we dressed up as characters from Pirate stories. I dressed up as a pirate. Then we marched down the street and through the kindergarten where all the littlekids came out to see us.

THE SHOW
TREASURE ISLAND This story starts in the Admiral Benbow, an inn. Jim Hawkins (played by Quin) works there. Billy Bones (played by Shanti ) comes to stay. He has a treasure map. He was once a pirate , a member of Captain Flint's crew. He is visited by Black Dog ( Stevie)who fights him. Then the evil Blind Pew ( Sasha) comes and scares him to death. Jim gets the map . He gets the Goodies, Dr Livesey (Charlie ) Squire Trelawney ( Sarah), Mr Dance ( Shannen) and they hire a s called the H. The captain is Captain Smollet( ) who gets Long john silver ( Maddison) to collect a crew. Long john is evil and one of Captain Flinty's pirates. He collects all the other pirates and away they sail. On the trip Jim hears of a plot to . When they get to the island the Goodies go to the ship . The baddies go in search of the tresure . An old pirate called Ben Gunn ( Zion) who has been marooned , arrives and joins the gang . Jim takes off and sails the s around the island . The pirates have nowhere to go. There's a big . The pirates are winning until they hear Boo whom they think is a ghost of Captain Filnty. Billy screams horribly.. They all run away and the goodies find the tresure and sail back to England. My favourite part was the get on your knees and beg song My favourite character was jim he's funny My part in the show was singer I thought the whole show was awesome We should congratulate Smitty the pro .  |

THE 2012 OLYMPICS.
The Olympics were held London
The participants were athletes from over the world
Some of the activities I watched and enjoyed were rowing and boxing.
New Zealand had a very successful games. We won 6 golds, 2 silvers and 5 bronze medals.

Rock da house was awesome, the audience was rocking! I was very happy and proud after the show.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT
We made a signs to make sure that no one would step on the birds eggs.
My part in making our sign was drawing pictures on our sign that said "Watch Out for Nesting Birds"
THE OPENING OF ANIWANIWA
We went to the new hall where we sat in the HOT HOT HOT sun for ages. Whaea Tania told us about the rainbow. She called out some colourful kindy kids to demonstrate. Aniwaniwa means Rainbow to show all the different cultures in the school. Whaea Gladys blessed the rooms. At the end we had a chocolate.
