Hello! I'm Liam.  I'm going to tell you a little about myself.  My favourite colour is red my favourite sport is  rugby my.  Goal for the year is to practise at swimming.  My hobby is bike riding.

TURANGAWAEWAE FESTIVAL 

Why we have a Turangawaewae festival ? 

1. To celebrate countries and their schools and the would.
2. I enjoyed the bouncy castle and. I enjoyed the Hit and Win.

HOBO STOVES

On the sixth of March room three went out on the grassy area by MOTeC and made pikelets.  Some people tasted the pikelets mixture and it was yummy.  First of all we got some sticks, leaves and birds nests then we set it on fire.  After that we put some butter on it , then when the butter melted we put the mixture on the stove.  When they were ready we flipped them onto the other side then took them off and ate them with golden syrup and it was yummy.  Finally we packed all the hobo stoves up. Then we went inside to clean up. Then went for a game of rounders on the back field.  I felt excited about making pikelets, mixture and the game that we played after that and it was so much fun! THE END.

FANTAILS

Fantails are cute little birds.  They live for a short amount of time , for about three years.  They eat little insects that fly or often scuffed up by walkers.  A fantail can flit up and down with its tail and its wings.  It oftens lives in the bush and on lowlands.  Its Maori name is Piwakawaka. Thefantail is an indicator species , showing if the bush is healthy or not.

BOOK WEEK

We have book week because: To learn how to grow plants.
During the week we: Did drop everything and read.
On Friday we: Walked a quarter of west high street then went down east high street.

 TREASURE ISLAND 

This story starts in the Admiral Benbow, an inn. Jim Hawkins (played by Quin) works there. Billy bones (played by Shanti ) comes to stay. He has a map. He was once a pirate, a member of Captain Flint's crew. He is visited by Black Dog (Stevie )who fights him. Then the evil Blind Pew (Sasha ) comes and scares him to death.

Jim gets the map . He gets the Goodies, Dr Livesey (Charley) Squire Trelawney ( Sarah), Mr Dance ( Shannen) and they hire a ship called the Hispaniola. The captain is Captain Smollett (Makayla ) who gets Long John Silver (Madison ) to collect a crew. He is evil and one of Captain Flint's  pirates. He collects all the other pirates and away they sail.  On the trip Jim hears of a plot to kill them.

When they get to the island the Goodies go to the stockade . The baddies go in search of the treasure . An old pirate called Ben Gunn ( Zion) who has been marooned , arrives and joins the goodies . Jim takes off and sails the ship around the island. The pirates have nowhere to go. There's a big fight. The pirates are winning until they hear Ben Gunn whom they think is a ghost of Captain  Flint. Ben screams horribly..

They all run away and the goodies find the treasure and sail back to England

My favourite part in the show was the singing

My favourite character was Mr Dance because he was funny

Deep within the Earth, rock is so hot that it melts to become a sticky substance called magma.  When magma is pressurised it is forced up to the Earths surface and it pushes up through the vents.  At the center of the Earth is a solid metal core, which is surrounded, by an outer core of liquid metal.  Around this is a layer of hot rock called the mantle.  The surface is broken up into large pieces called tectonic plates.  When the two plates push together they sometimes form volcanos.  This is because the pressure forms cracks, and the magma flows through it.

The Olympics were held in London The participants were 100 countries Some of the activities I watched and enjoyed were boxing, running and judo.   New Zealand had a very successful games. We won 6 Golds, 2 Silvers and 5 Bronze medals.  Click here to view the full medal table

ROCK DA HOUSE

ROCK ON JASON

How it all went: It was excellent.  How the soloists performed: They performed well but Jason and Makayla mucked up.  How the audience liked it: Funny, loud and in time.  How I felt about the evening: Excited and shy.

DENTAL HEALTH

What I learned about teeth: I learned that if you drink coke and don't brush your teeth they root. How to care for teeth: To care for teeth by eating healthy food. Good food for teeth: Apples, bananas, pears and broccoli.

 

 

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT!!
We went to the Kumaras on Monday the 17/09/2012.
We made the signs because: It shows people to look after the godwits.  My part was: LEAVE YOUR MOTORBIKES AT HOME  My buddy was Lachlan. It was a fantastic day


                                         




LEONARDO DA VINCI

Leo was born on April the 15th 1452 and died on May 2nd 1519 at the age of 67 and was a famus Italian.  The stuff leo made was: Mona Lisa , The Last Supper , The Vitruvain Man and Lady with an Ermine.
