Hello. My name is Jackson. I'm a keen cricketer, especially bowling and my aim is to get better. I'd also like to improve my typing skills.

TURANGAWAEWAE FESTIVAL
Some of the highlights at the festival included a climbing wall, plenty of food stalls and non-stop entertainment on a stage. The items showed the different cultures at the school.

The festival was a great success and I enjoyed all the activities.
Hobo Stove
We made hobo stoves in pairs and then we cooked pikelets. Mine tasted really great.

How to make a stove
The Maori name for the fantail is piwakawaka. You will notice when you are walking in the bush or forest fantails may follow you. This is because every step you take on the soft dirt you are stirring up insects that nest under the ground.

BOOK WEEK
We have book week to encourage people to read.
During the week we have a "Stop everything and read" session each day. Other teachers come in and read stories to us.
On parade day we all dressed up in Pirate costumes, My Mum made me a special costume.
We paraded around the town and through the kindergarten to share our show with the little kids.

We thank Becky for organizing the whole project. I really enjoyed the week and the parade.

TREASURE ISLAND
This story starts in the Admiral Benbow, an inn. Jim Hawkins (played by Quin) works there. Billy bones (played by Shanti ) comes to stay. He has a map. He was once a pirate, a member of Captain Flint's crew. He is visited by Black Dog (Stevie )who fights him. Then the evil Blind Pew (Sasha ) comes and scares him to death.
Jim gets the map . He gets the Goodies, Dr Livesey (Charley) Squire Trelawney ( Sarah), Mr Dance ( Shannen) and they hire a ship called the Hispaniola. The captain is Captain Smollett (Makayla ) who gets Long John Silver (Madison ) to collect a crew. He is evil and one of Captain Flint's pirates. He collects all the other pirates and away they sail. On the trip Jim hears of a plot to kill them.
When they get to the island the Goodies go to the stockade . The baddies go in search of the treasure . An old pirate called Ben Gunn ( Zion) who has been marooned , arrives and joins the goodies . Jim takes off and sails the ship around the island. The pirates have nowhere to go. There's a big fight. The pirates are winning until they hear Ben Gunn whom they think is a ghost of Captain Flint. Ben screams horribly..
They all run away and the goodies find the treasure and sail back to England.
VOLCANOES
My favourite part in the show was when I appeared.
My favourite character was MEEE!!!!
My part in the show was a dirty pirate called Foul-mouthed Fred I thought the whole show was awesome We should thank smiddey the producer

THE OLYMPICS, 2012 The Olympics were held in London The participants were athlets all over the world!! The activities I watched and enjoyed were soccer, gymnastic ball,rowing,white water rarfting New Zealand were very successful we won 6 golds, 2 silvers, and 5 bronze medals click here to view the Olympic medal tally

My bones vibrate whenever a deep noise plays on the stereo as I'm right next to the speakers.
My least favourite song was 'If you Wanna sing out sing out AFTER THE SHOW
/ Rock the house was awesome . I recon California dreaming sounded the best on the night although Falling slowly sounded pretty good. Jason was the soloist for it. The worst thing that happened was when my wig fell off under the stage.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT
We made signs to protect the birds on the Motueka Sandspit.
On our sign we wrote, "Keep dogs under control".
We went to the Kumaras in Raven's dad's car. When we got out of the car, my tummy started to grumble
Then I saw the biscuits Sally was holding. We walked down to our signs. We were told to not walk in the puddles but knowing me I walked straight through the puddles. We posed for a photo, played a game then walked back to our cars.
ANIWANIWA
Aniwaniwa is the name of our new multi purpose room . We gathered our chairs around the new room and soon after, we listened to a karanga. Finally the chocolate came.
